Lee “Bucky” L. Bell

Lee “Bucky” L. Bell, 75, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, May 13, 2013, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.

 

He was born on May 2, 1938, in Waupun, Wisconsin, a son of Leslie C. and Hazel E. Dahl Bell.

 

Bucky served with the United States Army National Guard in Fort Lewis, Washington and with the Red Arrow Division with the Wisconsin National Guard.

 

On March 19, 1960, he married Carol Anne Hankwitz.

 

Bucky most recently worked as a driver for United Parts Plus.

 

He was a proud member of Faith Ev. Lutheran Church and the Fond du Lac American Legion Trier-Puddy Post 75.

 

Lee “Bucky” is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol “Annie” Bell; two daughters:  Catherine Bell and Mary Bell; three grandchildren:  Elizabeth, Johnathon, and Stefanie Thiel; two sisters:  Helen Kastein and Kay (Joe) Woehrer; two sisters-in-law:  Kathleen Bell and Susan Roeder; two brothers-in-law:  Robert Hankwitz and Bruce Hills; an aunt, Josie Dahl; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael; two brothers:  Jerry Bell and Bruce Bell; his mother-in-law, Florence Hills; other family and friends, and his beloved pets.

 

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013, at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church, 55 North Prairie Road, Fond du Lac, with Rev. David Haugly officiating. 

 

The visitation will be on Friday at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
