Lester M. Possin

Lester M. Possin, 91, of Beaver Dam, formerly of the town of Burnett, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Prairie Ridge in Beaver Dam.



Lester was born June 12, 1927 in the town of Chester, in Dodge County, the son of Edgar and Marie Luck Possin. On October 23, 1948 he married Beatrice Pautsch at Immanuel Lutheran Church in North Burnett. Following their marriage the couple farmed in the town of Burnett all their married lives. Lester was a sexton of Burnett Cemetery and on the cemetery board for 40 years. He enjoyed beekeeping for many years. He was a member of North Burnett Immanuel Lutheran Church all of his life. He served as usher and was on the church board in various capacities for many years.



Lester is survived by his wife of 69 years, Beatrice; five children: Daniel (Jing) Possin of Seattle, WA, Robert L. (Dorothy) Possin of Brandon, Diane J. (Don) Rens of Fox Lake, Thomas M. (Debra) Possin of Lakeside, MT, and Jeff (Lil) Possin of rural Burnett; 12 grandchildren: Roget, Sarah, Erica, Gina, Jared, Megan, Jacob, Aaron, David, Nathan, Adam, and Kelly; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Edna Beske of Waupun; a brother, Oris Possin of Beaver Dam; brother-in-law, Louie Paustch of rural Burnett; and several nieces and nephews.



Lester was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cindy; a son-in-law, Jack Hoinacki; a great-granddaughter, Brandy; three sisters-in-law; Dorothy Pautsch, Jean Kuenzi, and Elaine Possin; and two brothers-in-law, Adelbert Kuenzi and Leonard Beske.



Funeral services for Lester Possin will be held Monday, September 24, 2018 at 6 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. Tim Sallach officiating. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Monday at the funeral home from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service.



The family wants to thank Hometown Hospice and the caregivers at Prairie Ridge in Beaver Dam for their compassionate care.
