Linnette Sattler

Linnette “Lynn” Sattler, age 63 of Chilton, died on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at her home in Chilton. She was born May 21, 1953 in Fond du Lac, daughter of the late Lawrence & Anna (Durben) Diedrich.

On August 7, 1976, Lynn married Dexter Sattler at Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Chilton. Through the entirety of their marriage, Lynn & Dexter made a great team raising their sons, treasuring time together with their grandson, and taking care of their great nephews. Lynn & Dexter also enjoyed each other’s company, especially on the many travels they took together.

Through most of her working career, Lynn proudly worked at a local medical facility where she was able to showcase her greatest talent and joy: Caring For Others. Lynn was a person whose genuine care and compassion was self evident through her generosity toward others and constantly looking for ways to be helpful to the people around her.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and in her free time, Lynn enjoyed hunting for special antiques to collect, fashioning creative projects to decorate her home and to give away as gifts. She also looked forward to the end of October when she could put out all of her favorite Halloween decorations and share in the fun and laughter at her annual party. Lynn’s warm smile and her loving kindness will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Survivors include her husband: Dexter; children: Zach (Katie) Sattler, Chris Sattler; grandchild: August; her sisters: Ginny (William Gonzales) Johnson, Jeanette (Don) Kartheiser, Lorrie (Tunde) Awoyinka; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Don & Diane Sattler; a sister-in-law: Donna (Don) Pingel; and a brother-in-law: Darren Sattler. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father: Bob Hein; a brother-in-law: Dwane Sattler; and a sister-in-law: Cheri Sattler.

Funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with the Rev. Ryan Krueger officiating. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 9:00 am until 11:30 am on Saturday, April 22, 2017.

Lynn’s family would like to thank Lynn’s dear friend, Jackie Ausloos, the entire staff of St. Vincent Oncology Department and everyone with the Calumet County Hospice for the loving care that was given to Lynn and shown to her entire family.
