Lisa M. Colton

Lisa M. Colton, 59, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully Friday, December 10, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loved ones and her two dogs. Lisa fought a 6-year battle with cancer, always courageous and brave. She was born April 26, 1962 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Robert and Patricia (Fox) Colton.

Lisa graduated from Goodrich High School in 1980. She started working at the young age of 15 and managed and owned several bars and restaurants. Lisa currently worked for Mercury Marine the last 17 years. She always enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren, spending time at the cabin in Adams County, watching songbirds and deer with Jeff, cared about the elderly, and always put others first.

She is survived by her fiancé, Jeffrey Oelke of Fond du Lac; her daughter and special son-in-law, Leah (Matt) Loehr of Mount Calvary; her son, Brant (Kiley Raatz) Bornemann of Fond du Lac; grandchildren, Landon and Hadley Loehr; her siblings, Gary (Elaine) Colton of Fond du Lac, Laurie (Greg) Provo of New Richmond, Linda Fisher of Fond du Lac, Mark (Erin) Colton of Fond du Lac, Steve (Maggie) Colton of Fond du Lac.  She is further survived by aunts, Fran (Colton) Templin, Betty (Fox) Patterson, and Joan (Fox) Coyle; her ex-husband, Larry Bornemann; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

The visitation will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Lisa’s name.

The family extends a special thank you to the friends that brought her comfort and joy, neighbors Mike and Kris Alt for all the love and support over the last years, special thanks to Julie Diedrich, Jodi Budwit, the doctors and staff of the SSM Health Cancer Center, and to Denise, Marissa, and Clarissa of Agnesian Home Hospice.
