Lola M. Braun

Lola M. Braun, 97, died peacefully December 11, 2021. Lola was born October 8, 1924 on her parents’ farm in Dotyville, WI. She was the first-born child of Clarence and Theodora (Gilgenbach) Blatz. On February 12, 1945 she married Cyril Braun. Cyril preceded her in death on August 27, 1987.

Lola was a woman of deep faith, strength, and generosity. She was a wonderful housekeeper, baked mountains of cookies, and played a skilled sheepshead game. She worked in a variety of roles outside her home and retired in her 90th year. Lola was an ordinary person who lived a remarkable life. She was one of God’s better efforts.

Lola leaves to celebrate her life children, Kenny (Rosie) Braun, Mary (Bob) Devine, Patty Braun, and Bruce (Jane) Braun; one grandson, Todd (Ginny) Braun; one great-grandchild, Casey; her brother, Fuzzy Blatz; as well as many special relatives and cherished friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cyril Braun; two brothers, Edward (Eleanor)Blatz and Eugene (Pat) Blatz; and sister, Celine Blatz.

SERVICES- Visitation will be on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Shepard of the Hills Catholic Church, W1562 Co Rd B, Eden. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at 11:00 AM. A private burial will take place at St. Michaels in Dotyville.

Lola’s family extends a heartfelt gratitude to the Hospice Home of Hope for your gift of peace and comfort, and to Dr. Sergi for your years of devotion and compassionate care.
