Loretta A. Sauer

Loretta A. (Bodden) Sauer, 94,
went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at St. Francis
Terrace Assisted Living.

Loretta was born
June 13, 1924 to Edmund & Pauline (Ritger) Bodden in the town of Theresa.

On October 29,
1949 she married Walter Sauer at St. Theresa Catholic Church. He preceded her
in death on August 27, 2000.

Loretta was a
homemaker with a genuine smile and a good sense of humor, and together with
Wally they operated Sauer’s Finest Foods in Theresa. Loretta was very involved
in St. Theresa Church and enjoyed being a part of the church choir, was
involved with Homemakers, St. Ann Sodality and American Legion Women’s
Auxiliary. Her greatest accomplishment was her family. Mom raised her family with
love, respect, and discipline and instilled those values in her children. She
enjoyed family gatherings and all the laughter and chaos a large family can
bring. She loved to bake and cook and felt purpose in providing for her family.
She would never arrive at your home without baked goods in hand.

Those Loretta
leaves behind to cherish her memory include 6 children: Kathy (Larry) Jessen of
Sarasota, FL, Nancy (Larry) Fix of West Bend, Jim (Barb) Sauer of Slinger,
Connie (Gary) Nygaard of Madison, Vicki (Don) Wiesner of North Fond du Lac and
Mary (Luke) Blitzke of Eldorado.

She is further
survived by 10 grandchildren: Chris (Jen) Jessen, Brian (Jess) Fix, Dustin Fix,
Tracy (Sonlock) Buckley, Mitch (Abby) Sauer, Josh (Amy) Wiesner, Jason
(Lindsay) Wiesner, Jenny (Jeff) Ballwahn, Jina Wolf, Dallis Blitzke, and Max
(Fiancée Lindsay) Blitzke; along with 17 great grandchildren.

Other survivors
include: her sister Esther Kirsch, sister-in-law Marie Sauer, along with many
nieces and nephews.

In addition to her
husband and parents, Loretta was preceded in death by: a daughter Tracy,
grandson Andy Sauer, granddaughter Mandy Fix, grandson-in-law Adam Wolf, 4
brothers and their wives: Pete (Helen), Bernie (Norma), Leo (Dolores), Al (Ann)
and 3 sisters, Eleanor (Lee) Miller, Flora (Dick) Johnston, Alice (Norbert)
