Lorraine J. Wunrow

Lorraine J. Wunrow (nee Fischer) of Fond du Lac entered into eternal life on November 4, 2018, at the age of 86.

She was born on June 21, 1932 in the town of Rockland, the daughter of Leonard and Mahala Dallmann Fischer. She was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1950. Three years later, on September 5, 1953, she married Wesley H. Wunrow at Potter United Church of Christ.

Lorraine had a talent for sewing and will be remembered for the many baby quilts she made for families of Grace Reformed Church. She helped with the church’s preschool program, the VBS and Sunday School programs, sang in the choir and was a member of the Women’s Guild.

She worked at the Holiday Inn in the housekeeping department as an assistant housekeeper for many years. Family times were the best times for her and she especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Jean (Brian) Seibel and Brian (Jennifer) Wunrow; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa, Kristin, Jeremy, Lindsay, Leah, and Ashley; four great-grandchildren, Alexa, Trent, Rilee and Emmaline. She is further survived by special friend, Everett Schwalbe; siblings, Roger (Sally) Fischer, Glenn (Karen) Fischer and Grace Knier. Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Wunrow; son, James Wunrow; daughter, Linda Baltz; and brother, Howard Fischer.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Grace Evangelical Free Church. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Grace Evangelical Free Church in Fond du Lac with Rev. Barry Vegter officiating. Private burial will be held in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery on Monday.

A memorial will be established in Lorraine’s name.
