Lorraine M. Gantner

Lorraine M. Gantner, 93, a
resident of Adelaide Place,
Fond du Lac
, died Friday, October
23, 2015.

 

She was born a daughter of
the late William G. and Clara E. Broetzmann Krug, on May 3, 1922, in Van Dyne.

 

Lorraine attended grade school at St. Paul’s
Lutheran School
in the Town of Forest,
where she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

Peter’s Ev. Lutheran

Fond du Lac

 

She worked with her husband
on the Gantner farm on Highway 45, until they moved to County Road B.  Lorraine worked for five years at the shoe
factory in Lomira, and then the upholstery business, first at Fond du Lac
Mattress Company, and then for many years out of her home.

 

Lorraine enjoyed attending church at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church,
Fond du Lac,
and was a member there until her death. 
She also enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband, taking rides
throughout the area, and visiting with family and friends.

 

She is survived by three
children:  Theodore Gantner of Fond du
Lac, Thelma (Ronald) Geidel of Oakfield, and Teresa (Donald) Frey of
Brownsville; seven grandchildren: 
Michael (Sue) Gantner, Michele (Brian) Sabel, Sara (Todd) Schmidt,
Ronald F. Geidel, Holly, April, and Jacob Frey; six great-grandchildren:  Alyssa, Brianna, and Hunter Sabel,  Heather Niebuhr, Tyler Schmidt, and Bret
Geidel; one  great-great grandchild,
Spencer Geidel; a sister, Myrtle Yust of Fond du Lac; three
sisters-in-law:  Audrey E. Krug of Shawano,
Kathleen Krug of Fond du Lac, and Eileen Gantner of Fond du Lac; and many
nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by
her husband, Herbert, on January 4, 2002; a daughter-in-law, Judith A. Gantner;
 five brothers:  Robert W. Krug, Melvin Krug, Norvin Krug,
George Krug, and Lyle Krug; and  three
sisters-in-law:  Helen Krug, Audrey B.
Krug, and Bonnie Krug.

 

Lorraine’s family expresses their sincere gratitude for the
loving care and kindness shown to Lorraine
by all the staff at the Liberty House, Adelaide Place, and Heartland
Hospice.  Your kindness has not gone
unnoticed – the Lord sees and so did we.

 

A service of Christian
worship, praising, and thanking our Lord Jesus Christ for dying, rising, and
making a home in Heaven for Lorraine
will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 1600 South Main Street, Fond du Lac,
with Rev. Matthew Guse officiating.

 

The visitation will be held
on Tuesday at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

 

Entombment will be at the
Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Ledgeview
Memorial Park
.
