Lorraine M. Geiser

Lorraine M. Geiser age 105 was called to her heavenly home on November 30, 2017 at Century Ridge Assisted Living, Chilton. She will be remembered for her faith in God and dedication to her family, as well as her positive outlook on life and wonderful sense of humor. Lorraine was born March 22, 1912 in the Town of Charlestown, the daughter of Joseph and Martha (Reiser) Kolbe. She married Werner Geiser on June 14, 1939. 



Working side by side, Lorraine and Werner ran their dairy farm in the Town of Brothertown, until 1972, while also raising their five children. Later she enjoyed the times she had with her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. 



Lorraine was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton, the Christian Women, Catholic Knights Branch 118, St. Mary’s Mission Society of Chilton, and the Senior Citizens.  As a member of the Mission Society, she cut and sewed many patchwork quilt tops that were made into quilts by the Mission Society and sent all over the world to those in need. 



Lorraine is survived by her children: Jerome (Carol) Geiser, John (Mary) Geiser, Paul (Jeanne) Geiser, Joanne (Ambrose) Freund, and Ellen (Gerald) Heus; brothers-in-law: Richard (JoAnn) Geiser and Robert Pero; 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. 



Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Werner; her parents: Joseph and Martha (Reiser) Kolbe; Werner’s parents: August and Rosa Geiser; a sister: Hildegard (Arnold) Weller; brothers: Hugo (Louise) Kolbe, Elmer (Helen) Kolbe, Clem (Grace) Kolbe, and Leo (Betty) Kolbe; sisters-in-law: Leonella (Edward) Keuler, Mildred (Claude) Gebhart, Bernadine Pero; brother-in-law: Clarence (Martha) Geiser; and one granddaughter. 



Funeral service will be Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:30 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton. Officiating the service will be nephew, Rev. Andre J. Weller, OFM.Cap. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, December 10, 2017, and again at the funeral home from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, December 11, 2017. There will be a Parish Vigil Service at 7:00 pm at the funeral home following Sunday’s visitation. Burial will be at St. Charles Cemetery in Charlesburg, WI.
