Marianne Wondra

Marianne Wondra, 87, of Ashford passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Hope Health and Rehab in Lomira. 



She was born in the Town of Byron on August 9, 1930, the daughter of Benjamin and Clara (Hayes) Unferth. 



On February 26, 1949, Marianne married Alfred “Fritz” Wondra at St. Martin’s Church in Ashford. 



She worked at Regalware in Kewaskum for 30 years before retiring and was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Parish-St. Martin’s Chapel. She also was a member of the Christian Mothers, the American Legion Auxiliary and the 25 Year Club at Regalware. 



Marianne enjoyed traveling, watching baseball, gathering with friends and family and had an amazing penguin collection. 



Marianne is survived by her sons Steve of Lomira, Scott (Sharon) of Lomira, Shawn of Campbellsport and Shane (Amy) of Pickett, her daughters Sheryl (Jerry) Day of Madison and Sally (James) Schrauth of Campbellsport, her grandchildren Kyle (Jody) Wondra, Chad (Julie) Wondra, Christopher (Spec friend Alicia) Wondra, Dennis (Katey) Schrauth, Kimberly (Jake) Panzer and Katie (Jason) Gruber, eleven great grandchildren with one on the way, her sister Linda (Lloyd) Bonlender of Lomira, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. 



She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fritz on July 29, 1988, siblings and their spouses Kenneth and Lucille Unferth, Betty and Franklin Schabel, Jenny and Francis Fochs, Earl Unferth and Sandra Soeller. 



A Mass of Cristian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 20th at 6:00 PM at St. Martin’s Chapel, Ashford (N1271 Minnie Lane, Campbellsport). 



Rev. Mark Jones will officiate Visitation will be Tuesday, February 20th from 3:00 PM until time of service at Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Agnesian Hospice or Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center. 



The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Hope Health and Rehab and the Agnesian Hospice for the loving care she received during her time at Hope.
