Marie Pflueger

Marie Pflueger, 96, was called
to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, March 14, 2015, from Grancare Nursing and
Rehabilitation, formerly residing at 475 Roosevelt Street, Fond du Lac.

 

She was born on September 5,
1918, in Wrightstown, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Charles and Martha
Schindle Spietz.  Marie graduated in 1937
from Wrightstown High School.

 

On June 13, 1942, she married
Gerhard “Pete” Pflueger at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Wrightstown with Pastor
Uetzmann officiating.

 

Marie was employed for 28
years at Tolibia Cheese, retiring in 1978.

 

She was a charter member of
Luther Memorial Church and belonged to the Ladies Society. 

 

She is survived by a brother,
Elmer Spietz of Los Alamitos, California, and many nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by
her husband, Pete, on July 7, 2007; four brothers and sisters-in-law; and four
sisters and brothers-in-law.

 

The funeral service will be
held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Luther Memorial Church, 134
21st Street, Fond du Lac, with Rev. Neal Radichel officiating.

 

The visitation will be on
Wednesday at church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

 

Immediately following the
service, burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park, with a luncheon to follow
at church.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be directed to Luther Memorial Church to the undesignated memorial fund.
