Marion Elizabeth (Coon) Meyer

Marion Elizabeth (Coon) Meyer, 94, a resident of Woodlands in Fond du Lac passed away after a brief stay at St. Francis Home.  She was born in Fond du Lac on April 5, 1918, a daughter of John and Mary L. (Shaw) Coon.

Elizabeth is the widow of Donald J. Meyer.

She was a graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School.  She was a homemaker and a volunteer at the Health Care Center for many years.  She was a member of Holy Family Parish and a former member of St. John the Baptist Church, Johnsburg.  She was one of the founding members of The Homemaker Group for many years.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Margaret M. Stueber, Joyce A. (Charles) Brunau, Donald J. (Barbara) Meyer, Mary J. Meyer, Rita M. (Jeffrey) Schiller; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mary Coon, Geraldine Coon, and Doris Haag; other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Robert J. Coon, David A. Coon and John Coon Jr.; grandsons William P. Stueber and Joseph A. Atkinson; great-grandson Taylor Billman; a son-in-law Darold Stueber.

Visitation:  Her family will receive relatives and friends at Sacred Heart Church, 200 S. Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac, on Monday, November 12, 2012, from 9:00 until 10:45 AM.

Services:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 12, at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church.  Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Johnsburg.

Memorials in her name may be directed to either Holy Family Parish or St. Lawrence Seminary.
