Marion I. Seibel

Marion “Buzzy” I. Seibel, 95,
of Fond du Lac, died on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at St. Francis Home.

She was born on January 31,
1922, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of  Simon and Irma Spielberg Arthur.  On September 11, 1943, she married John
Parshall Seibel of Fond du Lac, and moved to the family farm in Unity,
Wisconsin.  Subsequent moves included
Ripon, Fond du Lac, Delaware, Georgia, and St. Germain with a return to Fond du
Lac in their later years.  Outspoken,
with red lipstick and a wardrobe of hats, Buzzy delighted in the company of
others.  She was active in church and
civic groups in every community, often in a leadership role.  While in Delaware, she served eight years in
the House of Representatives.  Marion
grew up in a musical family and her love of music reverberates in many of her
grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

Marion I survived by her
three children, Susan (Douglass) Day of Milwaukee, John (Sobeya) Seibel of the
Dominican Republic, and Richard (Leslie Personett) Seibel of New York; eight
grandchildren: Madeleine (Roger Teich) Day, Nicholas (Anya Bernstein) Day, and
Molly (Ryan) Peterson, Saschia (Wisem) Chame, John Parshall Seibel, John Paul
(Alicia) Seibel, Kurt Seibel and Patrick Seibel; seven great grandchildren:
Khalil Chame, Camila Chame, Isaiah Day, Margalo Teich, Estella Peterson, Samuel
Day and Henry Peterson.

She was preceded in death by
her husband, her parents and her two brothers: Robert Arthur and James Arthur.

A special thank you to the
caring and capable staff of St. Francis Home, and to Pam Behnke, her
friend-in-need in her later years.

Memorials may be given to the
Fond du Lac Symphonic Band in honor of Marion’s love of music.
