Marjorie “Margie” L. Gundelach

Marjorie “Margie” L. Gundelach, 69,
passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at home, surrounded by her family.  She was born on July 3, 1946 to Richard and
Lucille (Haring) Block.  Margie graduated
from Goodrich High School in 1964.  On March 22, 1969, she married Darrell
Gundelach at Immanuel Trinity Church in Fond du Lac.

 

Margie lived in Fond du Lac the majority
of her life.  She worked at Giddings
& Lewis, Management Recruiters and Pilgrim Church.  Margie loved being a stay-at-home mom, providing
her family with delicious dinners each night and homemade treats.  She loved doing any kind of craft, especially
making beautiful cards and decorating her wonderful home.  She never missed a chance to send out a
birthday card! 

 

Margie also enjoyed reading and writing
in her journal and spending time with family and friends.  She especially loved watching her
grandchildren grow.  Margie was a member
of Edgewood Community Church in North Fond du Lac and loved the Lord.  She made it clear in her last days that she
was ready to meet Him.

 

Margie is survived by her husband of 47
years, Darrell; children, Jodie (Mark) Stowe of Cocoa, FL, Amy (Luke) Martin of
Fond du Lac, and Chad (Natalia) Gundelach of Rogers, AR; grandchildren,
Christopher and Chad Stowe, Max and Harry Martin and Aleksandra and Nikolas
Gundelach.  She is further survived by
one sister, Jeanne (Charles) Bloedorn, sisters-in-law, Sylvia Dittman and Cathy
Gundelach, nieces, nephews and many friends. 
She will also be missed by her “Pink Sisters.”

 

Margie was preceded in death by her parents,
Richard and Lucille Block, her parents-in-law, Vernon and Delyte Gundelach and
two brothers-in-law, Gaile Gundelach and Martin Dittman.

 

Visitation: 
Margie’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Zacherl Funeral
Home, 875 E. Division St., Fond du Lac, on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 4:00 PM
to 7:00 PM, and on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Pilgrim United Church of
Christ, 535 Stow St., Fond du Lac, from 12:00 PM until the time of service.

 

Services: 
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, following
visitation, at Pilgrim United Church of Christ at 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Ledgeview Memorial
Park.

 

Memorials can be made in Margie’s name
to the Fond du Lac Humane Society or Edgewood Community Church in North Fond du
Lac.

 

Margie’s family extends special thanks to the Agnesian Cancer Center
doctors and nurses, the hospice nurses and CNAs, and all those that brought
food, flowers and sent cards and prayers.
