Marlene I. James

Marlene I. James, 77, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac, following her battle with cancer.

 

She was born on January 13, 1936, in Eldorado, a daughter of George and Meta Paul Dehring.

 

On June 23, 1956, she married John P. James, who preceded her in death on December 30, 2012.

 

Marlene was a loyal and supportive wife of 56 years, loving mother, loved her family and friends, spoiled us with homemade candy and treats, like peanut butter fudge and chocolate eclairs.  She was always conscious of her neatness and perfection with herself and everything she did. 

 

She is survived by a son, Peter (Kathleen) James; three grandchildren:  Angeline (Jeffrey) Perry, John (special friend, Beth Parsons) James, and Christina (Jeremy) Tabbert; two great-grandchildren:  Joshua Perry and Amy Perry.  She is further survived by two brothers:  Marvin (Gerry) Dehring, and Alvin (Barb) Dehring; nieces, nephews, and other friends and family.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers:  Ervin Dehring and Darvin Dehring and sister-in-law, Doris Dehring.

 

The family wishes to thank all that were involved in helping us fight her disease and thanks also to the staff at Hospice Home of Hope, and a special thanks to Sr. Rebecca and Sr. Ann Jude.

 

A private service was held.
