Martha M. Schaub

Martha M. Schaub, 92, a
former, longtime resident of Plymouth, and a resident of St. Francis Home for
the past 7 ½ years, died Sunday, April 17, 2016, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du
Lac.

 

She was born on November 16,
1923, in Tigerton, Wisconsin, a daughter of August and Emma Magedanz
Braatz.  She was a 1943 graduate of
Bowler High School.

 

On June 12, 1948, she married
Bernie Schaub in Racine, Wisconsin.  He
preceded her in death on November 25, 2009.

 

Martha worked at Wisconsin
Screw Company, Racine.  She and her
husband, Bernie, owned and operated Bernie’s Bakery in Plymouth.   Martha was a member of St. John the Baptist
Church, Plymouth, the Daughters of Isabella, and Christian Women.  She enjoyed bowling, gardening, flowers,
crafts, and tatting, having received several blue ribbons at the Sheboygan
County Fair.  She also loved fishing.

 

She is survived by seven
children:  Philip (Dianne) Schaub of De
Beque, Colorado, twin sister, Theresa (Gale) Klatt of Hartland, Wisconsin, Rose
Cleveland (David Kempf) of Fond du Lac, Cynthia (David) Herman of Saukville,
Bernadette (Robert) Harvey of Mishicot, Anita (Bradley) Schmitz of Fond du Lac,
and Anne (Dan) Burg of Richfield; 11 granchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a
sister, Dorcas Hammer of Milwaukee; two brothers-in-law:  Joseph Schaub and Philip Schaub, both of
Racine; a sister-in-law, Dorothea Carpino of Racine; and many nieces and
nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by
her parents; her husband, Bernie; infant daughter, Mary; a son, Timothy;
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

 

VISITATION:  The visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m.
on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at St. Francis Home chapel, 33 Everett Street,
Fond du Lac.

 

SERVICE:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Francis Home chapel with Rev. Adrian Staehler
officiating.

 

Burial will be in St. John
the Baptist Cemetery, Plymouth.

 

A memorial is being
established in Martha’s name.
