Martha Marie Laudolff

Martha Marie Laudolff, 89, formerly of Lamartine, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at St Francis Home where she was a resident since 2005. 

She was born on August 4, 1924 in the Town of Forest, a daughter of the late Victor and Frances Halfman Schneider.

On June 1, 1948, she married Albert L. Laudolff at St. Peter Catholic Church in St. Peter with the late Rev. Robert Hoeller officiating. 

Al and Martha owned and operated a dairy farm in Lamartine.  Martha worked as a CNA at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home until retiring in 1977.  After retiring, she volunteered at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home and Our Risen Savior Catholic Church.  She enjoyed baking, playing cards, singing in the St. Francis Home Choir and being a backseat driver.

She was a member of Our Risen Savior Catholic Church in Woodhull where she was a member of the choir and Altar Society.

Survivors include her four children: Mary Binning of Oakfield and her children, Christopher (Andrea) Ewert and their son Shawn, Tami (Doug) Roedl and Carie (Pat) Sommerfeld, and their children Ali, Ella, Reagan, Dylan and Erica; Joseph “Ernie” Laudolff (Marsha Brunner) and her children, Jay and Staci and their children, Eli and Devyn; Scott and Caren; Rose (Gary) Collien and their children, Jacob and Andrew (Heather) Collien, and their daughters Lily and Claire; and Catherine “Katie” (Jake) Deaver and their children, Eric (Ashley) Deaver and their son Landon and Troy Deaver and his son Kyson.

She is further survived by four sisters: Olive Richter, Frances Stubbe, Mary White and Pat Pittler all of Fond du Lac; six brothers: John (Marion) Schneider, Ed (Marie) Schneider, Leo (Carol) Schneider, Al (Bette) Schneider, Vic (Mary Lou) Schneider and Jim Schneider all of Fond du Lac; sisters-in-law, Donna Laudolff and Marilyn Laudolff; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Albert; her parents, Victor and Frances Schneider;  brothers, Norbert Schneider and Tony Schneider;  mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joseph and Martha Laudolff; brothers-in-law, Gerald Richter, Willard Stubbe, Lee White, Robert Pittler, Sylvestor Laudolff, Ernest Laudolff, Lawrence Laudolff, George Baumhardt, Delmar Amel, Gregor Laudolff and Richard Halter; and sisters-in law, Evelyn Schneider, Millie Schneider, Sue Schneider, Judy Schneider, Marguerite Laudolff, Phyllis Laudolff, Esther Baumhardt, Viola Amel, Alice Halter, Agnes Laudolff and Norma Laudolff.

Visitation:  Family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St., 4:00 to 7:00 pm.  There will also be visitation on Wednesday, February 5th at St. Francis Home Chapel, 33 Everett St., from 8:30 to 9:45 am.

Service:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 5th, 10:00 at St. Francis Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials for Martha be directed to the St. Francis Home Foundation.

Martha’s family would like to recognize her extended family, the staff and volunteers of the St. Francis Home, for the thoughtful care and concern given to Martha during her stay.
