Mary E. Dietrich

Mary Ellen Dietrich, 63, of Fond du Lac, died on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Hospice Home of Hope, after a long battle with Early Onset Alzheimer’s. 

She was born on June 27, 1955, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Kenneth and Marie Demler Dickie.  She was a graduate of L.P. Goodrich High School, Class of 1972.  On June 30, 1973, she was married to Timothy C. Dietrich, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Mary worked at MPTC for 19 years, but spent most of her life as a caretaker and raising her two children. 

Mary took great pride in her family, which was the most important thing in the world to her.  She loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.  She also loved reading, going for walks and listening to Elvis.

She was a compassionate and caring daughter, wife, mother and “Nana” that will be deeply missed. 

She is survived by her husband, Timothy Dietrich of Fond du Lac; her children: Tim (Heather) Dietrich of Mt. Calvary and Dawn (Sam) Blanck of Fond du Lac; her five grandsons: Cole and Ty Dietrich and Caden, Talan and Mason Blanck; her brother Gary (Mary) Dickie of Fond du Lac; three sisters: Geraldine (Randy) Burton, Rosie Lefeber and Marie (Carlos) Romo all of Fond du Lac; and her brother-in-law, Bill Mongin of Fond du Lac and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: David and Kenneth Dickie; three sisters: Linda Elzey, Sharon Zimpher and Laurie Mongin; two brothers in law: Gary Zimpher and Robert Lefeber and her father and mother in law, Hans and Rita Dietrich.

VISITATION: Friends may call on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac.

FUNERAL: A private family funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel.  Entombment will take place at Chapel of Risen Christ.
