Mary Vogds
Mary Ann (King) Vogds, age 76,
of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, January 2, 2020, at ThedaCare Regional Medical
Center. She was born on June 16, 1943, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Francis
and Ann (Yakaites) King. Mary Ann was a 1961 graduate of St. Mary’s Springs
Academy. On May 29, 1965, she married the father of her children Stanley Jahn.
Mary Ann went on the marry Daniel Vogds on a lucky Friday the 13th
in November 1987. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2014. Mary Ann spent
the last three years with her special friend Ralph Hall. He preceded her in
death on August 10, 2019.
Mary Ann worked at Wells Manufacturing
since August 26, 1969, until retiring on January 30, 2009. She shot pool in the
Fond du Lac Ladies 8 Ball League and was the treasurer for a number of years.
She served on the Board of Directors for Heritage Condominium Homes Association.
She spent the 2017-2019 May-October season at Huckleberry Acres at her trailer
with Ralph Hall. Mary Ann was a huge music lover, especially the Blues. Over
the years she attended countless concerts and music festivals all over the
area.
Survivors include two sons,
Randy Jahn and Todd (Cathy) Jahn; sister, Joan Duel, four brothers; David
(Lori) King, Paul (Janice) King, Mike (Aggie) King, Tom (Patti) King; , four
brothers-in-law; Michael (Barb), Patrick (Patty), Timothy and David (Lori)
Vogds, a sister-in-law, Mary Vogds; and other relatives and friends. She was
preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel Vogds; her special friend,
Ralph Hall; brother-in-law, Joe Duel; nephew, Ben King.
Visitation will take place on Friday,
January 10, 2020, from 2-7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave,
Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Cremation has taken place.
