Michael C. Lefeber

Michael C. Lefeber, 79, passed away quietly at home on April 27, 2021. He was born in Fond du Lac on September 27, 1941 to the late Melvin and Dorothy (Stevens) Lefeber.

Michael graduated from Horace Mann High School and proudly served in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1962. He married Sharyn Stephany on August 27, 1966.

Michael was employed with the Soo Line Railroad as a conductor until his retirement.

Michael was an avid fisherman and artist, creating portraits of his grandchildren as well as other family members. He enjoyed entertaining his grandchildren, baking artisan breads and looked forward to Navy ship reunions.

Michael was a member of American Legion Post 347, Elks and a past member of Lighthouse Anglers, Eagles, the Knights of Columbus and the Patrol Craft Sailor Association.

Surviving family members include his wife, Sharyn; daughters Michelle Freund and Kim Marie (David) Cieszynski; eight grandchildren, Amy (David), Chris (Tori), Luke, Lani, Cami, C.J., Carly, Katie; two great grandchildren, Jonathon and Nathan.

He is further survived by sister Melody (John) Hoffman; brothers Steven (Sharon), Ron (Jayne) and Mark (Rose), other relatives and many friends.

SERVICES: Michael’s family invites relatives and friends for a time of visitation at the Sons of Zebedee – St. John Catholic Church Hall, N3687 Hwy 175, Town of Byron, on Saturday, May 8th, 2021 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the church at 11:30 a.m.

Burial with full military honors will be conducted at Chapel of the Risen Christ, Calvary Mausoleum.
