Michael T. Warner

Michael T. Warner, 56, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at St. Agnes Hospital with family by his side. He was born on May 11, 1964 to David Warner and Karen (Schmitz) Wolf in Fond du Lac.

Mike graduated from Lomira High School in 1982. He was very proud of his high school sport activities. He was a state qualifier in Track and All Conference in Football. Mike was employed at Culligan Water Services for 10 years and then at Grande Cheese for 20 years.

Mike loved the outdoors which included hunting, sturgeon spearing, and especially fishing. He found such peace and contentment while being near any fishing hole. When taking drives with his son Ben, he would notice streams along the way and pull over and put on his waders to check out the fish. Upon the unhospitable frozen lakes, Mike found a home whether it would be with his fellow fisherman or alone, he would enjoy himself and was able to be free in his dedication to fishing. Mike enjoyed playing cards and to shake dice. He was an avid cribbage player weekly with his friends. Most of all, Mike enjoyed being a father to his son Ben.

Mike is survived by his son, Benjamin; his mother, Karen Wolf; his brother, Joel (Janice) Warner; his sister, Cherie (Luke) Reitz; his step-brother, Fred Wolf, III; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, David; step-father, Fred Wolf and his grandparents.

Services: Mike’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, March 22, 2021 from 3:30 to 6:30 PM for visitation at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division Street in Fond du Lac. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 PM. Cremation has taken place.
