Mildred C. Koenigs

Mildred C. Koenigs, 88, died Fri. Feb. 19, 2016 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born in Chilton, Wis. on June 15, 1927, a daughter of Leo and Lydia (Weber) Hansen, Sr. On April 3, 1948 she married Leo Koenigs at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho, Wis. He preceded her in death on Sep. 24, 2008.



Mildred enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking. For many years, she made wedding cakes. She loved playing cards and family get-togethers. Mildred lived in Brothertown, Wis. until her marriage in 1948, when she and Leo moved to Johnsburg, Wis. In 1960, Mildred and her family moved to Eden, Wis. and eventually settled in the Fond du Lac area. She was a long-time member of Shepherd of the Hills Parish, Eden. 



Surviving Mildred are her 4 children; Leonard (Mary), Kenneth, Marlene Snell and Debbie (Dan) Dornbrook; 7 grandchildren, Lori (David Eberhardy) Rademann, Travis Rademann, Rebecca (Kevin) Rate, Elizabeth (fiancé Matthew) Gnadt, Carla (Joshua) Gellings, Jonathan (fiancé Marissa) Snell and Tayler Meg Snell; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Lisowe; brother, Roger (Lillian) Hansen; and special friend, Jeff Kroening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; parents, Leo and Lydia; sister, Erma (Martin) Lisowe; brother, Leo (Marge) Hansen, Jr.; a brother-in-law, Marvin Lisowe; son-in-law, Steve Rademann; and all of Leo’s siblings. 



A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Tues. Feb. 23, 2016 at Shepherd of the Hills Parish, Eden with Fr. John Radetski officiating. Visitation at church will begin at 10:00 AM and continue until the time of Mass. Burial will follow the services in the cemetery of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eden.



The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of both the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home and Agnesian Hospice Hope for their care of Mildred in the recent weeks.
