Milton E. Wege

Milton E. Wege, 85, of Campbellsport passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 at Ivy Manor in Campbellsport. Milton was born in Milwaukee on August 11, 1927, the son of Edward and Martha Werth Wege. On October 23, 1954, he married Hertha Heilman at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Milton served in the U.S. Army from 1946 through 1947. Before retiring he worked at Koehring Corporation in Milwaukee and Bucyrus-Erie in South Milwaukee. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Campbellsport and the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post #347 in Lomira. Milt enjoyed bowling, his grandchildren, and family vacations.

Survivors include his daughter Martha Peterson of Campbellsport, his sons David (Kay) Wege of Campbellsport, and Mark Wege of Arlington, Virginia, his grandchildren Erik (Sarah) Peterson, Jessica (Jeff) Grede, Jaime, Joseph, Joshua and Jordyn Wege, his great-grandchildren Liam and Lucas Peterson and Parker Grede, his sister Audrey (Lee) Rehn, his special friend Ann Bunkelman, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Hertha, who died October 15, 1993.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 13th, from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 350 South Helena Street, Campbellsport. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Paul Cerny officiating. Burial will be Monday, January 14th, at Valhalla Memorial Park in Milwaukee. Memorials to Alzheimer Association, Immanuel Lutheran Church, or Waucousta Lutheran Grade School are appreciated.
