Nancy L. Diedrich

Nancy L. Diedrich, age 83, of Hilbert, died on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Ascension Calumet Hospital in Chilton.  She was born April 8, 1936 in Chilton, daughter of the late Mathias & Mary Ann (Biedenwolf) Fochs.  At a young age, Nancy’s father, Mathias, died and her mother married Clem Kampa who became her new dad who showed every loving kindness to her in her adult life.

She was a graduate of Hilbert High School, and then attended cosmetology school in Green Bay.  She applied her skill to beauty shops in Hilbert and Brillion before managing and then owning her own shop in Stockbridge until her retirement at the age of 72.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert where she also belonged to the Christian Women and sang as a member of the parish choir for most of her adult life.  She was a woman of great faith, always appreciating the gifts God had continued to bless her with daily.  She was faithful to the life of her parish and remained faithful in her prayer life, daily praying the Rosary.

In her free moments, Nancy enjoyed quilting, tending to her garden, needlework, reading and volunteering at the nursing home in Chilton where she was afforded opportunities to share time and stories with residents.  Nancy’s greatest joy was her family and the moments she could spend with them.  She especially took great joy in her grandchildren, and now great grandchildren, deeply appreciating all that her family had become.
