Nicole Alicia “Nicki” Bangart

Nicole Alicia “Nicki” Bangart, age 22 of Madison, formerly of Chilton, died on Friday January 9, 2015 following a traffic accident in Calumet County. She was born on March 2, 1992 in Chilton, daughter of William and Cindy (Schneider) Bangart. She was a 2010 graduate and salutatorian of Chilton High School, and a 2014 graduate with highest honors from the University of Madison, with a degree in Animal Science. She worked for Covance in Madison for the past 9 months. Nicki was not only an honor student in high school, but was active in many extra curricular activities like, plays, musicals, cheer leading, art, and music. In her free time she enjoyed reading, cooking, camping, baking, and especially spending time with Brady. She had a great love for all animals, and she loved playing with her kitties. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and the Association of Women in Agriculture at UW Madison. Survivors include her parents William and Cindy Bangart of Chilton, paternal grandparents, Michael and Virginia Bangart of Chilton, Maternal grandmother Kayleen Schneider of Chilton, a sister, Krystal (Joshua) Klebs of Chilton, a brother, Jeremy Bangart of Chilton, her lifelong friend Nicole Katalinick of Chilton, her niece and Godchild, Lily Klebs of Chilton, her nephew Jase Klebs, her Godparents Terri Kopitzke and Gary Schneider, and her soon to be fiancé Brady Kees. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Alvin “Butch” Schneider. Funeral services will be at 11:30 AM on Friday January 16, 2015 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (62 E. Main St.) in Chilton, with the Rev. Ryan Krueger officiating. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, and again on Friday from 10 to 11 AM prior to proceeding to church. – See more at:
