Norman Abraham Manis

Norman Abraham Manis passed
away August 21, 2015, at the age of 87, after a short illness.  Born and raised in Fond du Lac, he worked with his father and

Norman met the love of his life, Betty, on a blind date
while vacationing in New Orleans, married her
soon after and brought her back to Fond

celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary last month.  Gregarious and generous, he liked to say his
“hobby is people.”  While in Fond du Lac, Norman
was a member of Temple Beth Israel, Rotary Club, The Masonic Lodge, The Elks
Club, Kiwanis, and other charitable organizations.

In 1983, Norman and Betty
retired to Longwood, Florida

to regale friends and neighbors with stories of his hometown.

and Sophia Manis, his sister, Sarah Manis Locke, and his brother, Jacob Manis.

He is survived by his wife,
