Orvil W. Sizemore

Orvil W. Sizemore, 82, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at his residence.

He was born on August 30, 1938, in Heavenor, Oklahoma, the son of Arthur S. and Mittie L. Davis Sizemore.  He served in the United States Navy, stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Base in Sheboygan from 1956-1959.  On July 6, 1957, he married Barbara A. Gorr, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Orvil drove charter busses for Priggie Coaches in Sheboygan, was a milk hauler for Wiese Trucking and later worked at Rienzi Cemetery for nine years.  

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Barbara Sizemore of Fond du Lac, his son Jack (Gracie) Sizemore of Holcomb, KS, his granddaughters Melissa Sizemore of Kansas and Tasha Sizemore, seven great-grandchildren, his sister Maxine Schmidt of Rocky, OK, and his sister-in-law, Joanne Sizemore of Amarillo, Texas. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Terry Sizemore, his daughter-in-law Shelia Sizemore, grandson Jack Sizemore, granddaughter Amanda Hickman, and his siblings: Verdene Earle, Maerene Dunlap, A.D. Sizemore, Billy Sizemore and Grady Sizemore.

VISITATION: Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Kurki Funeral Chapel, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac.

SERVICE: Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Kurki Funeral Chapel, with Chaplain Karen Kraus officiating.  Burial will take place on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Green Lawn Cemetery in Sheboygan.
