Pamela Steffes McLeod

Pamela
Steffes McLeod, 68, passed away on October 16, 2017 in Fond du Lac. She

was
born on January 19, 1949 to Donald and Martina (Knaus) Steffes in Winterpark,
FL.

Pamela
was a homemaker. She absolutely loved singing and was in the St Thomas

Roman
Catholic Church Choir. She was very proud of her family and enjoyed every

minute
with them. She was an amazing mother and she was always involved in her

children’s
lives. After her children grew, she was so excited to hear that she was a

grandmother.
You should have seen her face glow in happiness when she was around

her
grandchildren.

She was
one of those people that was driven to help others. She was always willing to

drop
everything to help a friend or family member.

She
grew up in Fond Du Lac, WI and moved to Crystal Lake, IL to raise her children.

After
all her children moved out, she returned to Fond Du Lac so she could be closer
to

her
family and friends at home. She was very close to all her mother’s siblings
(Carol

(Leo)
Schneider, Serena Quackenboss/Steffes, Jimmy (Delores) Knaus, Anna May

Schwartz,
and Helen Paula Olig) and she loved spending time with them. She also

loved
spending time with her cousins and friends (especially Cecilia Martin).

My
mother’s passing came to us unexpectedly; losing our mother/grandmother is
going

to be
one of the hardest adjustments in our lives. Please forgive me if I have
forgotten

to
mention anyone in this obituary. My mother had touched so many lives and we
will

all
miss her everyday.

Pamela
is survived by her three daughters: Laura (Satya) McLeod, Brenda (Donald)

McGuire,
Mary (Mike) Lippens and her two grandchildren: Piper McGuire and Donald

McGuire
Jr. and her two sisters Diane Steffes and Mary (Mike) Rogers.

Pamela
was preceded in death by her father, Donald Steffes, and her mother, Martina

(Knaus)
Steffes.
