Patricia A. Serwe

Patricia Ann Serwe (nee Comins), 77, of Campbellsport, Wisconsin met her heavenly maker on Friday, April 20th, 2018 surrounded by members of her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Pat was born on January 5th, 1941 in Campbellsport, Wisconsin.  She graduated Campbellsport High School in the Class of 1958, and she attended the Fond du Lac Vocational Nursing School.  Patsy married the love of her life, Cyril M. Serwe, on October 22nd, 1960.  The couple had eight children in ten years.

After a brief career as a nurse, Pat began the busy life of raising eight children, and also found time to support scouting activities, numerous St. Matthews Catholic School sports programs, and helped out with Cy’s roofing business.

As an empty-nester, Pat supported the Christian Women of St. Matthew’s Church and served as second Vice President.  Pat was an active member of the St. Matthew’s Catholic Church choir on Sunday mornings, and enjoyed the many smiles she created with her special homemade breads that were an annual hit at local festivals and church fundraisers, as well as Knights of Columbus events.

Pat’s greatest joy came from “being there” whenever her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren needed her time and affection.  She looked forward to the upcoming addition of two more great-grandchildren to the family later this year. Her selfless attitude will be greatly missed.

Surviving family includes her husband Cyril M. Serwe; their children: Catherine M. “Kitty” (Daniel) Miller, Carol M. (James) Ninnemann, Christina M. (Dean) Bohlman, Charles M. (Robin) Serwe, Clifford M. (Claudia) Serwe, Carl M. Serwe, Susan L. (Timothy) Sippel, and Sylvester L. Serwe; twenty-three grandchildren: Theresa R. Klug, Thomas J. (Stephanie) Miller, Matthew J. Crosby.

She is also survived by her sisters Faith Hermanns, Barbara (Gerald) Jaeger, Jane (Thomas) Gitter, Ellen (Gary) Rauch, and Janet “Cricket” (Nickolas) Schneider.

She was preceded in death by her father Roland E. Comins, mother Dorothy A. Comins (nee Majerus), brother Richard (Dick) Comins, and numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law.
