Paul H. Batchelder

Paul “Chip” H. Batchelder,
56, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at home.

 

He was born on November 26,
1960, in Deacon, Illinois, a son of Byron and Magaret Streubel Batchelder.

 

Paul served with the United
States Navy from 1979-1983.  He drove the
Joint Chief of Staff members throughout the Washington, D.C. area.

 

He married Susan Ann
Stefanik.

 

Chip worked with Building
Services Group, Little Chute, from July 2013 to April 2017.  He enjoyed craft fairs, fishing, going to
museums, and traveling to Disney World.  He
was an executive chef in the military and later owned his own restaurant in
Louisiana.  Chip was an instructor at Fox
Valley Technical College where he taught courses in culinary arts and worked at
a couple of restaurants in Door County.

 

He is survived by his friend,
Sue LaBuda of Oshkosh, and an adopted sister, Kathy of Elkhart Lake.

 

He was preceded in death by
his parents and wife.

 

SERVICE:  A graveside service will be held at 10:30
a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Ledgeview
Memorial Park with Chaplain Joseph Pietrangelo. 
Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Trier Puddy Post
75.
