Ralph C. “Putt” Buelow

Ralph C. “Putt” Buelow, age 83, of Chilton, died peacefully at home with his family surrounding him on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 in Chilton. He was born October 26, 1931 in Sherwood, son of the late William & Clara (Goethie) Buelow. Ralph married Carol K. Hoerth on June 28, 1955 in Dubuque, IA. Early in his life, Ralph worked for Kohler Company and also within the construction trade. He later began farming in the Town of Chilton while also running a trucking operation. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Kiel and enjoyed spending time with the Scriptures. Ralph was certainly a Jack of all Trades who enjoyed time in his shop fabricating and fixing anything he could get his hands on. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and especially looked forward to the annual sturgeon spearing season. In addition to bantering with those he loved, and playing cards, Ralph loved spending time as a snow bird in Florida and savoring the occasional cocktail with friends and family. Survivors include his wife: Carol; his children: Kenn (Mary) Buelow, Bonnie (Jim) Casper, Debra Hawkins and his son-in-law: Steve Weber, Susan (Michael) Mueller, Sandra (Marshall III) Hephner; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; a brother: Roy (Janice) Buelow; and a sister-in-law: Pat Buelow. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son: John Buelow; 2 grandchildren: BenYahdah Weber, Maria Ann Hephner; his brothers: Rueben & Robert Buelow; his sisters: Angeline (Francis) Sief, Virginia Ayers; and a step-sister: Harriet (Felix) Mueller. Funeral service will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (16350 Keller Ln) in Kiel. Friends may call at the Hall from 12:00 Noon until 2:45 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2015.
