Raymond Felix Ditter

Raymond Felix Ditter, 92, formerly of St. Peter, passed away on November 8, 2021 of natural causes at Villa Loretto in Mount Calvary. He was born December 11, 1928 in St. Peter, the youngest son of the late Henry and Mary (Mand) Ditter.

On January 19, 1957, he married Ethel (Schmitz) Ditter at St. Peter Catholic Church in St. Peter, Wisconsin.

Raymond served in the United States Army for two years, serving as an Artillery Mechanic. He farmed all of his life. He also worked for the town of Taycheedah for 27 years during his time farming. Raymond also served as an usher for 65 years at St. Peter Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife Ethel, a resident of Villa Loretto. He is further survived by one sister-in-law Joan Ditter of Fond du Lac, Ethel’s brother Harold Schmitz of Fond du Lac, Ethel’s sisters, Georgie Smet of Fond du Lac and Patricia (Clem) Mertens of Green Bay, and Ethel’s sister-in-law Mandy Schmitz Wehner, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his siblings William (Kathleen), Harold, Clarence, Stella (Clem) Birschbach, Alvin (Jane) and Alice (Ralph) Sabel.

A private family graveside service is scheduled.

The family would like to thank SSM/Agnesian Hospice Hope and the staff and volunteers at the Villa Loretto for the kind care that they have given to Ray for the last two years.
