Raymond J. Hesprich

Raymond J. Hesprich, 94, of Marion went to his heavenly home
Thursday Feb. 14, 2013 at Pine Manor Healthcare Center, Clintonville. He was
born in Lomira on Sept. 19, 1918 the son of the late John F. and Isabelle
Strobel Hesprich. Ray was a graduate of UW-Madison and worked with the
Conservation Corp. He was in the U.S. Army during WWII serving in the Medical
Corp in England. On Feb. 15, 1947, Ray married Hilda J. Hayward who he met at
the end of the war in London, England at St. Mary’s Church in Lomira. They
farmed in the Mayville area and later Ray worked at Mayville Metal. He served as
president and treasurer of the Machinist Union at Mayville Metals. He was a long
time member of the Mayville American Legion Post and was a member of Wings over
Wisconsin.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife Hilda, his children
Jim (Carol) of Yuma, AZ, Joyce (Bill) Webster of Laramie, WY, John (Judy) of
Horicon, Joe (Lisa) of Lake Ozarks, MO, Joanne (Scott) Neimuth of Marion, Jan
(Lori) of Honolulu, HI, and Jeff of Marion, 14 grandchildren, 11 great
grandchildren, his brothers and sisters Francis Hesprich of Fond du Lac, Rita
Grusnick of Fond du Lac, Dorothy Becker of Loyal, Germaine (Art) Brennan of
Kenosha, Anthony Hesprich of Lomira, and Louise Hall of Rubicon, nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his grandson
Gabriel, his infant brother, his sisters Catherine Hemmrich and Joan Krofta, and
his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Gerald Hemmrich, Sylvester Krofta, George
Grusnick, Mary Ann Hesprich, Ralph Held, and Bernie Gundrum.

Visitation will be Tuesday Feb. 19, 2013 from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at St.
Mary’s Catholic Church, 699 Milwaukee St. Lomira. Mass of Christian Burial will
follow at 11:00 AM at the church with Rev. Dennis Budka officiating. Burial with
follow in the parish cemetery with military rites after the committal service.
