Richard E. Snow

Richard E. Snow, 56, of Fond du Lac, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Milwaukee, with his family by his side.

                                         

He was born on August 25, 1957, in Fond du Lac, a son of Jerome B. and Mary Ann Eisenach Snow.

On September 15, 1979, he married Susan Kleinschmidt.

He worked at various factories in Fond du Lac and Oshkosh.  Rick loved watching his sons play baseball and watching his “tuffy’s” baseball and football games, often traveling anywhere he needed to see his “boys” play.  He loved taking photographs and listening to his music.

He is survived by his wife, Sue; a daughter, Anna Wiese (Tim Lee) and her children:  Logan and Taylor Wiese of Fond du Lac; a son, Steven (Liz) Snow and their children:  Isabelle and Abigail Snow of Oshkosh; and a son, Tim Snow of Fond du Lac.  He is further survived by his former son-in-law, Michael Wiese; a brother-in-law, Jim (Tracy) Kleinschmidt; eight siblings:  Deb (Jim) Ramirez, Ron (Robin) Snow, Roseanne (Rick) Zack, Bonnie (Kurt) Loehr, Tamme (Jeff) Freund, Crystal Baus, and Brenda Luebke, all of Fond du Lac, and Larry (Diana) Snow of Chandler, Arizona; his stepfather, Allen Luebke of Fond du Lac; his mother-in-law, Eleanor Kleinschmidt of Fond du Lac; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and great friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Donald Kleinschmidt; and a brother-in-law, Elmer Baus.

Rick will be missed dearly for his infectious laugh and love for his family.  He lived for his grandchildren.

Rick is a hero to the Wisconsin Donor Registry.  According to his wishes, he is helping others live long lives.

A special thanks to Dr. Cappellari at St. Agnes Hospital ER and Dr. Sattra and nurse‘s Karen and Ashley at Froedtert NICU for the care and compassion they had for Rick.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac, with Pastor Rob Ramirez officiating.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
