Richard J. Parker

Richard “Dick” Parker, a 70 year old Vietnam War Army Veteran, passed away at Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton, on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, with his family at his side.



Dick was born on February 15, 1947, to the late Marian (Boll) Parker and Lyman (Gabby) Parker. Dick was a graduate of Chilton High School and Manitowac Technical College with a degree in draftng. He was drafted into the US Army from February 1968 to April 1969 when he was Honorably Discharged.



Dick is survived by: his brother, Tom (significant other, Jan), and Tom’s children: Bobbi Ann (CArlos) Palacios, and Susan (Mike) Nechodomu; his sister Mary (Mark) Geier, and their children: Tony Geier, and Jessica (Jake) Erspamer; as well as many nieces and nephews.



He is preceded in death by his parents, Lyman and Marian Parker.



The family would like to thank the Residence of Stanton Place in Chilton for making him feel like family; the staff at Whitetail Assisted Living in Manitowac who considered him family and enjoyed his humor and wisdom; the staff at Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton who made his stay there as comfortable as possible; and finally, the staff at Calumet County Hospice who were there to support and help anytime and for anything to help us make the transition easier.
