Richard Lee Abraham

Richard Lee Abraham passed
away peacefully in his sleep, at home, on Friday, October 11, 2013, after a
lengthy battle with diabetes and related complications.

He was lovingly referred to
as “Padre” by his family and “Abey” by his friends, and was born a
son of Alder E. and Jeanette C. Jorgenson Abraham of North Fond du Lac, Wisconsin,
on January 24, 1948.

Richard married Christine Lee
Potts on June 1, 1974.

He proudly served with the
United States Air Force and graduated from University
of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, with a degree in political science
in 1975.

He is survived by his wife,
Christine; daughters: Julie Ann (Benjamin) Abraham-Gifford, and Lynn Marie
Abraham; a son, Michael Paul Abraham; and a granddaughter, Claire Grace
Gifford.   He is further survived by his
brother, James (Judy) Abraham of Utah, and many loving family members.

He was preceded in death by
his parents.

Richard enjoyed spending time
with his “cronies,” fishing, boating, hunting and casino trips.  He was an avid outdoorsman, and was the former
treasurer of the North Fond du Lac Rod and Gun
Club, and was active with Pheasants Forever.  Richard also enjoyed participating in Walleye
Weekend, Otter Street
and other fishing tournaments.

Richard most recently worked for
Allied Barton at the Oshkosh Truck location and previously worked at Plumber’s
Supply and Quasius Equipment.

Richard will be fondly
remembered for his quick wit, “zingers,” his love of a moldy oldie, a
blast from the past, dusty discs, and revived 45’s.
