Richard S. Robinson

Richard Stephen Robinson died on October 12th 2020. He was born in Los Angeles, California in 1947 to Roy and Kay Robinson. He graduated from Westchester High School then enlisted into the U. S. Navy and served from 1966 – 1969 as a radioman in Guam and Japan. In 1971 he married Kathy Weber of Milwaukee, WI.

Throughout his life he held many jobs. Among them, he was an accountant, warehouse worker, purchasing agent and a salesman. He was most successful and truly enjoyed his jobs when he was selling.

His hobbies included reading, coaching and refereeing soccer, leading Boy Scouts, working ham radio contests with the Sheboygan and then the Fond du Lac Amateur Radio Clubs, teaching Morse code, coaching pole vaulting, organizing fundraising parish dinners and watching sports and game shows.

He is survived by his wife Kathy, daughter Ellen Hartlage of Madison, WI. and her children Benjamin and Natalie; son James (Kat) of Bloomington, IL. and their sons Stephen and Ryan; his sister Nancy (Fred) Rose. Also, his sisters-in-law Nancy (Jim) Scholz, Judy Weber, Mary (George) Kowalski; brother-in-law Jim (Colleen) Weber, eleven nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends and neighbors.

Rick was preceded in death by his son Stephen; his parents and in-laws George and Grace Weber and brother in-law Thomas Weber and nephew Charles Schrauder II.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Intensive Care Unit at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac for their care and dedication.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 17th from 12:00 pm until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 200 S. Peters Ave. Fond du Lac. Rev. Fabian Rodas will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cascade at a later date. Military Honors will follow the mass at the Church.
