Robert N. Koehler

Robert N. Koehler, age 81, of Hilbert, passed away January 16, 2015. Bob was born on March 23, 1933 in Green Bay, son of the late Leonard & Teresa (Blotz) Koehler. Bob spent most of his life farming in the Hilbert area; he later moved to Hilbert and Chilton. Bob was a simple, friendly and polite man, sometimes offering a thank you when no thank you was necessary. He had an uncanny ability to remember birthdays and anniversaries and all of the ages of his siblings and other relatives. He was a big fan of the Milwaukee Brewers; Bob Uecker was his favorite. He truly enjoyed his one trip to Milwaukee to watch his favorite team. Survivors include his siblings: Edward Koehler of Chilton, Dolores Koehler of Hilbert, Kathleen Lanthier of Niagra, WI, Paul T. “Tom” (Ann) Koehler of DePere, Vincent (Lois) Koehler of South Milwaukee; sister-in-law: Dorothy Koehler of Appleton and a special niece Sue Koehler of MN. Bob is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Marguerite; and a brother: Urban. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church (108 S. 6th St.) in Hilbert with the Rev. Michael Betley officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 am until 10:45 am on Saturday, January 24, 2015. Bob’s family would like to thank Alice & Sue at Colonial Residence in Chilton for their many years of care, as well as the nurses from Unity Hospice for the compassion that was shown to Bob. Memorials given in the name of Robert N. Koehler for the St. Mary Catholic Grade School in Hilbert are greatly appreciated. – See more at: http://www.wietingfuneralhome.com/obituaries/robert-n-koehler/#sthash.ghXUDDSJ.dpuf
