Robert R. Bennin

Robert R. “Bob” Bennin, age 78, of Chilton, died on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital in Sheboygan with his wife and sons by his side. He was born January 2, 1938 in Chilton, son of the late Clarence & Elsie (Steiner) Bennin. He married Karen Will on March 3, 1962 in St. Cloud.

Bob served faithfully in the United States Army and following his discharge, he returned to Wisconsin where he operated a burglar alarm company in the Milwaukee area. With a passion for electrical engineering, Bob moved back to the Chilton area where he operated CB Machines with his brother and later CT Industrial Controls for over a decade and later founded CT Computers.

Bob was the consummate ‘idea man’ who would come up with new ideas and put those ideas into practice through his continuous work. His ideas also came in handy with the parishes he donated his time to, the communities in which he lived, and the many little league baseball teams he coached.

Survivors include his wife: Karen; children: Timothy Bennin, Chris (Annalee) Bennin; and his siblings: Jean (Bill) Sweetman, Marilyn Bennin, Carol (Roman) Geiser, Betty (Jim) Nier, Donna Schwantes; David (Laurie) Bennin & Deacon Dennis (Hildegard) Bennin. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law: Gary Schwantes; and a nephew: Jeff Sweetman.
