Robert R. Strebe

Robert “Bob” R. Strebe, 83, of Fond du Lac, passed away
unexpectedly at St. Agnes Hospital on Monday, March 12.

Bob was born on Sept. 6, 1934 to Elsie and Roy Strebe in
Fond du Lac. He attended St. Joseph’s Grade School and graduated from Goodrich
High School in 1953.

In 1955, he met the love of his life Mae (Thuerwachter), and
on Sept. 10, 1960. They married at St. Mary’s Church.

In 1961, they welcomed their first child, Mary (Dave)
Razner, and eight years later, they welcomed another daughter, Lisa (Steve)
Michels.

For 43 years, he worked at Mercury Marine in Plant 15’s
testing department.

Throughout his life, he enjoyed riding his bike, taking out
his Zuma and cruising throughout the city. He took numerous trips and cruises,
but always found his passion at home with his family. He loved his westerns,
particularly those of John Wayne, and could always be trusted to have a story
from history to tell. He was devoted to God, and worshipped at St. Mary’s
Church. One of his greatest joys was his wife, whom he always put before
himself.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mae, and his two
daughters, Mary and Lisa; his son-in-laws, Dave Razner and Steve Michels; his
four grandchildren, Jenna Lick (Shawn), Katie O’Hearn (Riley), Sarah Razner and
Brady Michels; his two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Molly O’Hearn; and his
siblings, June and John Strebe. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elsie
and Roy, his mother, father, and brother-in-law, and numerous other family
members.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March
14, 2018 at ZACHERL FUNERAL HOME, 875 E. Division St., Fond du Lac, and again,
at 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at ST. MARY’S CHURCH, 59 E. Merrill Ave.,
Fond du Lac, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.

The family would like to thank the St. Agnes Hospital
Emergency Department staff and Dr. Diaz and the staff of the cardiac cath lab
for all their efforts.
