Rodney A. Erdmann

Rodney A. Erdmann, 68, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, December 13, 2021, at St. Agnes Hospital after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in October. He was born on January 26, 1953, the son of Raymond and Norma (Schultz) Erdmann. On April 3, 1982, he married Cathy Triatik in Lomira, WI. Rodney worked as a welder for Mayville Engineering Company for 40 years because he loved what he did, who he worked with, and took great pride in his work. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac. Rodney loved being outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, or walking his dog Pete thru Kiekhaefer Park. He loved boating and being at the lake. Rodney was a Packers Fan who enjoyed listening to the Packers beating the Bears on Sunday night. He also enjoyed riding around in his UTV and 1985 Corvette, and tinkering with things. His greatest love was spending time with his family, including his cat, Kitty. He especially loved taking his grandchildren out on the pontoon and giving rides in “Grandpa’s Jeep.”

He is survived by his wife, Cathy; two children, Tiffany (Andy) Brault and Scott (girlfriend, Vicky Colin) Erdmann; three grandchildren, Lucy, Charlie, and Cora; sister, Lois Erdmann; two brothers, Gary (Sue) Erdmann and Brian (Catherine Caspary) Erdmann; niece, Amy; three nephews, Mike, Ryan, and Tyler; and other relatives.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 855 Martin Avenue, Fond du Lac, WI 54935. Memorial service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM at church. Cremation has taken place.
