Rodney G. Menne

Rodney “Tiny” G. Menne, 53, of Eldorado passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017 at the Eldorado Fire Station. 



He was born in Kentucky on March 13, 1963, the son of Anton R. and Betty J. (nee Bigsby) Menne. 



Rod was the current Assistant Fire Chief with Eldorado Volunteer Fire Department and been a member since 1989, part time employed at Rennert Fire and Sales since 1996 and 



past Eldorado Fire Chief from 1996-2007. 



He retired in 2016 from the State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections Dodge Correctional as a Captain; employed with the State since 1989. 



He was charter member since 1994 for the Eldorado First Responders. 



He was involved or held leadership roles in: County EMS Association, County Communication Committee, Fire Chief’s Association, Pickett Steam Engine Club and Eldorado Building Committee for Fire Station and Town Garage. 



Rod has been heavily involved in the Eldorado Community Picnic and longtime Parade announcer. 







Rod is survived by his daughter Holly (spec. friend Shaun Ennis) Menne of Princeton, his brother Tony (spec. friend Kelly) Menne of Fond du Lac, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents 







A celebration of Rod’s life will be Saturday, Jan. 21st from 12:00 Noon until 4:00 PM concluding with a service at 4:00 PM at the Eldorado Volunteer Fire Station, N9218 County Road N, Eldorado. 



In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the Eldorado Volunteer Fire Department or the Eldorado First Responders.
