Roger W. Halper

We mournfully announce the passing of Roger Halper, 77, of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Roger peacefully passed away on December 28, 2020 surrounded by loved ones.

Roger was born in the year of 1943 to Walter and Harriet Halper in the bustling city of Chicago. In 1960, he met Kathy (Grima) Halper, and they wed in May of 1965, going on to have four children, Peter, Kirsten, Melissa, and Jessica. They met at the age of 15 and were married for 55 years, displaying a wonderful faith-centered marriage. 

Roger lived a full and vibrant life, constantly showing the love of God to those around him. He was a devoted father and son, who always put his faith and family first. Roger was an avid fisherman who enjoyed backpacking and hiking with his wife and children. He continued to pass down his love and wisdom of nature to his many grandchildren. He was always ready for a new adventure. When Roger retired, he devoted his time, talent, and treasure to his family. Roger was a spiritual leader to those around him and he truly was a man after God’s own heart. His infectious laugh, constant jokes, and storytelling will be missed dearly.

Roger was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Harriet Halper. He is survived by his wife, Kathy and their four children, Peter, Melissa, Kirsten and Jessica, and his brother, Jim Halper. As well as eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at Roger’s home in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
