Ronald (Bink) Colward of Fond du Lac passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.
He was born on September 19, 1934, to Gary and Elsie Colward. On November 17, 1956, he married Carole Kilmer. Ron served in the US Army, and worked from apprentice to foreman at Giddings and Lewis from 1952 until his retirement in 1995. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, racing/riding motorcycles, crossword puzzles, playing cards, he loved watching and feeding the birds, and spending time with his family and friends.
Ron is survived by his brother, Eugene (Gene) Colward; three daughters Kelly (Mark) Wischnefski, Vicki Ford, and Jodie (Rick) Schneider; seven grandchildren Heather (Ingo) Ludviksson, Alyssa Schneider, Kristin (Casey) Wuest, Ryan (Samantha) Wischnefski, Emily Schneider, Nicholas (Samantha) Ford, and Jacob (Elizabeth) Wischnefski; and nine great grandchildren.
He was a remarkable man with solid principles and we have always been inspired to live up to the example he set for us. He will be sadly missed.
A private family service will be held at Kurki Funeral Chapel. Memorials can be sent to the Fond du Lac Humane Society in memory of Bink.
