Ronald D. Olmsted

Ronald D. Olmsted, 62, of Manawa, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 14, 2022.  Born on March 2, 1960, the son of the late Robert and Audrey Olmsted, Ronald was united in marriage to Sharon Loken on August 8, 1987, and they were blessed with 34 years together.  He also served in the United States Army for 4 years.

Over Ronald’s lifetime, he worked for multiple trucking companies, including his father’s and cousins’ milk-hauling business.  For the last 15 years, he worked for Maple View Trucking.  He loved driving a truck and was a hard worker.

Ronald had a special bond with his 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, and his two dogs (Destiny and Roxi) had a special place in his heart, too.  He also enjoyed mowing his lawn and building things for his home.  He was loved by many and will be forever missed.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Sharon; his daughter Sabra (Joe) Ritchie; son Jeremy (fiancé Sarah) Olmsted; brother Victor (Kim) Olmsted; sisters Darlene Maus, Donna (Shawn) Blake, Linda (Tom) Kruzicki, Debra (Brian) Gibbons, brothers- and sisters-in-law; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Julie Partlow; mother- and father- in-law, brothers- and sister-in-law, uncles, aunts, and cousins.

The family would like to thank the medical staff of Froedtert Hospital for their life- saving measures.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Boondocks Bar & Grill (E6407 Hwy 22) in Symco. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Ron Olmsted. Memorials can be sent to the Wieting Family Funeral Home c/o Ron Olmsted 411 W. Main St. Chilton, WI 53014
