Rosanne H. Schneiderwent

Rosanne H. “Rosie” Schneiderwent, age 64, of formerly Chilton and currently Howards Grove, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 17, 2020 at her home.  She was born February 28, 1956 in Chilton, daughter of the late Elmer and Helen (Bogenschutz) Kolbe and grew up on her family farm in Chilton.  On April 3, 1986, Rosie married Edward L. Schneiderwent at the former St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton.

Rosie started her career as an EMT and drove ambulance. When she and Ed began their family, Rosie fell in love with being a stay at home mom and made caring for her children and family.  When Rosie’s children were all in school.  She decided to go back as well and worked as an educational assistant for the Sheboygan Area School System until her retirement.

Rosie loved to craft, crochet, knit, create wreaths and floral arrangements for all seasons, and making personalized cards for friends and family.  She had a caring soul and always went out her way to put other people first and make them happy.  You could always count on Rosie for a warm smile, listening ear, a patient heart, and open arms.  She enjoyed entertaining, talking to the neighbors on the porch, having pool parties, and get togethers with the family.  She wanted everyone to be happy.  She was selfless and had a pure soul who loved being a mom and grandma.  She found joy playing with her grandchildren and being part of their lives and watching them grow.

Ed and Rosie very often enjoyed their evening at the Altona for a nice dinner and relaxation.  Ed and Rosie were also members of the deaf and hard of hearing association. They helped bring awareness to our area and gave support and information to school systems to educate about streamlining for students.

Her selfless personality will be greatly missed by her 7 children:  Katrina (Brandon) Schelk, Christopher (Kaela) Schneiderwent, Ryan (Holly) Schneiderwent, Jennifer Schneiderwent, Diona (Dave) Kopetsky, Carissa Schneiderwent, and Brandon (Jessica) Schneiderwent; her grandchildren:  Riley Schneiderwent, Maisy Schelk, Lily Schneiderwent, Gina Altendahl, Cierra Coldren, Madisyn Coldren, Jerry Baskin, Jr., and Miah Schneiderwent; a sister, Mary Rowlette; and other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
