Rosanne Reese
Rosanne M. Reese, age 50, of Chilton, died on February 4, 2019, peacefully at her home with her husband and dogs. She was born April 1, 1968, in North Tonawanda, NY, daughter of William C. Wolfe, Jr. and Margaret C. Wolfe. She met Robert Reese at a country fair in Cherry Creek, NY, when she was 14 years old. Despite going to different schools they stayed together and Robert proposed for nine years before he finally met her standards and she said yes. They were married on December 31, 1992, in Jamestown, NY.
Rosanne was a woman of faith and family. She would spread the word of God to anyone that would listen, and she would do anything for her children and grandchildren. Outside of her home, Rosanne worked in the kitchen for Calumet Medical Center for 10 years, but her favorite work was waitressing at Sipples Drive-In in Hilbert. She loved to laugh and have fun and she had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed watching Robert do the gardening so she could appreciate the final product and she liked sitting outside in her swing listening to the peace and quiet, especially in the fall when all of the colors changed. Rosanne was a strong advocate for animal rights; her and Robert’s “other children” are three rescue dogs: Angel, Benji, and Maple.
Rosanne is survived by her husband, Robert; her children: Heather Reese, Tanya (Larry) Russell, Robert Reese, Jr. (Amber Schulpius, fiancée), and Summer (Edwin) Olmo; rescued children: Angel, Benji, and Maple; grandchildren: Mikayla Lowery, Abigail Lowery, Savannah Lowery, Brayden Hegewald, Nevaeh Russell, Mason Russell, Pelah Schulpius, Caztiel Schulpius, Yashyann Olmo, Alexander Olmo, Bentley Olmo, and one more on the way; Robert’s parents: John and Gloria Reese; sister: Holly Wolfe; brother: William (Dawn) Wolfe, III; sisters-in-law: Becky Wynn, Kathy (Ron) Maine, Karen Simons, Theresa Shea, and Wendy (Roger) Thurber; and brother-in-law: Johnny (Betty) Reese, Jr.
Rosanne was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret, and her sisters: Lori Wolfe and Sandy Wolfe.
Rosanne’s funeral service is set for 12:00pm on Friday, February 8, 2019, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Thursday, February 7, 2019, and again at the funeral home from 11:00am until 11:45am on the day of the service. There will be an open microphone for sharing stories and memories of Rosanne at 7:00pm following visitation on Thursday evening. Her burial is scheduled for 1:30pm on Friday, February 8, 2019, at Hillside Cemetery in Chilton.
A memorial fund has been established in the name of Rosanne M. Reese.
