Rosemary E. Krebsbach

Rosemary E. Krebsbach, age 79, of Elkhart Lake, died on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.  She was born on August 6, 1938 in Chilton, daughter of the late Edward & Lucille (Bolz) Bittner.  Rosemary married Elroy Krebsbach on February 23, 1957 at Ft. Meade in Maryland.  After spending 21 years with her husband in the Air Force, they retired to California for 32 years, and later built their retirement home in St. Anna, WI.


Rosemary was a voracious reader who frequented the libraries throughout Calumet and Manitowoc County.  She especially enjoyed reading mystery romances and kept her hand and knowledge on the history of the world.  She enjoyed time spent crocheting, knitting, making Christmas ornaments and creating other hand made crafts.  She especially took great pride in creating fantastic home made meals for special occasions and holidays.  

Rosemary appreciated the gift of life and cherished every moment she could with her family.  She lovingly devoted her entire life to the care and betterment of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her beloved husband, Elroy.  


Survivors include her husband: Elroy; her children: Candus (John) Stewart, Randolph (Jeannette) Krebsbach, Jerome Krebsbach, and Teresa Runyan; 8 grandchildren: Heather, Jessica & Crystal Stewart, Janelle & William Krebsbach, Jennifer, Joshua & Audrey Runyan. Finally, Jerome’s 5-generation of  miniature pinschers.; 3 great grandchildren: Kendyl Krebsbach, Emma Lynn Woodall, and Harley Christensen; two sisters: Elizabeth Schmitting & Susan Koehler;an aunt: Joyce Hauser; and sisters-in-law: Aurelia Krebsbach & Roseanne Roehrig.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers: Francis Blanik & William Bittner.  


Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Wieting Family Funeral Home with Deacon Dennis Bennin officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Chilton.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2017 and on Sunday at the funeral home from 11:00 am until 12:45 pm.  A vigil service will take place Saturday night at the funeral home at the close of the visitation.
