Ruby L. Roberts

Ruby Lorraine Roberts, age 79, of Oshkosh, died peacefully surrounded by her family on
Friday, August 3, 2018, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. She was born on
January 30, 1939, in Fond du Lac County, the daughter of Alvin and Ethel (Vincent)
Henning. Ruby married James E. Roberts on July 16, 1983 in Lakeside Park. He
preceded her in death on August 30, 2015. Ruby was a talented artist whose work
continues to bring joy to many people. She was a former member of the Fond du Lac
Artist Association. Ruby worked at Family Foot Clinic and AVN as a medical secretary
for many years. She loved spending time up north at the home her and her husband
built, where she enjoyed the wildlife, especially the deer and bear that came to visit.
Most of all Ruby enjoyed spending time with her family. Some of her hobbies included
traveling, reading, snowmobiling, and other adventures.
Survivors include two children, Selena (Tom) Fuhrmann of Oshkosh, Bobbi (Patrick)
Zyduck of North Fond du Lac; one grandson, Drew (Lisa) Kartos of Golden, CO; one
great-grandson, River, of Golden, CO; step-children, Terry (Tom) Bowen, Dianne
Roberts, and Michael J. Roberts; four step-grandchildren; one brother, Albert (Ollie)
Vincent; two sisters, Almina Miller, Doris (David) Huck; special friend, Dottie Olig; and
many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her
parents; her former husband, Kenneth Lawlis; her husband, James E. Roberts; nieces
and nephews, Clyde Miller, Denise Martin, Betty Carol and Billy Vincent.
Visitation will take place Thursday, August, 9, 2018, from 3-6 PM at Uecker-Witt
Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A memorial service will follow
the visitation at the funeral home at 6:00 PM. Interment will take place at Ledgeview
Memorial Park.
