Sandra J. Weninger

Sandra “Sandy” Jane Weninger, 82, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully June 30, 2021 at Hospice Home of Hope after a lengthy illness.

Sandy was born June 1, 1939 daughter of Merle and Genevieve (O’Donnell) Phillips. She married Joseph Weninger in 1958 and raised 5 children together.

Sandy graduated from Chilton High School in 1957. She was a woman of devout faith and love. Sandy volunteered at St. Joseph’s School and St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. She worked for many years at Steenberg Mobile Homes where she was an Office Manager/Vice President. Sandy enjoyed traveling to many places with the Steenberg crew. Sandy was involved for many years in volleyball and bowling leagues as well as enjoyed playing golf with her dearest friends. She especially enjoyed family time and seeing her great grandchildren.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph Weninger; two daughters, Lori O’Keefe and Patty (John) Artin; two sons, Jim (Kelly) Weninger and Mark (Diane) Weninger; 10 grandchildren, Kylie O’Keefe, Maaren O’Keefe, Connor O’Keefe, Michael Fogl and special friend Erin Sauvola, Elizabeth (Josh) Dickerson, Julia Weninger, Jamie Artin, Jessica Artin, Taylor Williamson and Samantha Weninger; four great grandchildren, Rylan, Genevieve and Logan Dickerson and Lucas Fogl; sister, Maureen (Jim) Thome and brother-in-law, Leroy Weninger; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kay Weninger and a brother, Robert Phillips.

SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday July 8, 2021 at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way in Fond du Lac. A time of Visitation will be held at the Church an hour before the service from 10:00am-11:00am.
